Agapanthus ‘Charlotte’ is a beautiful clump-forming, herbaceous perennial. Its strap-shaped mid-green leaves are evergreen and winter-hardy. Its strong erect stems bear large umbels of trumpet-shaped flowers, which are pale blue to mid-blue with a dark violet-blue stripe down the centre of each petal. These stunning flowers appear throughout the summer months and into mid autumn. This compact variety is perfect for beds, borders and cottage style/coastal gardens. Due to its architectural integrity it is the perfect plant for the garden or in containers. It can reach a maximum height of 60 cm and spread of 35 cm.
Suggested Care: Agapanthus ‘Charlotte’ should be planted in moist but well-drained soil, positioned in full sun however, it can withstand a partially shaded area but less blooms are likely to appear. Can be divided once established. The plant should be positioned in an area that is sheltered from strong winds. It is typically a low maintenance plant, free of pests and diseases.
Planting Instructions:Ā Break up the soil well before planting and dig a hole twice the size of the pot. Remove plant from the pot by tapping the rim of the pot in āup side downā position. Do not pull the plant from the pot. Firm soil after planting and water regularly for the first month.
