Barbarea rupicola ‘Sunnyola’ is a compact, rosette-forming biennial or can also be known as a short-lived perennial with oval to spoon-shaped, lobed, glossy dark-green leaves. In mid-spring, the tidy mound of foliage is topped by stunning, buttercup-yellow cross-shaped flowers. It can grow to a maximum mature height of 15 cm and spread ofĀ 30 cm. It takes approximately 1-2 years for this plant to mature. it is perfect for use in Rock, Gravel, Garden edging, Containers, Beds and borders.
Suggested Care: Barbarea rupicola ‘Sunnyola’ should be planted in well-drained soils, positioned in a sunny position. It can also be places in a partially shaded area however less blooms may appear. It is not a majorly fussy plant thus,it will survive in moist soil types. Species can be propagated by seed sown in containers in a warm area (15-20 degrees Celsius) in summer. Cut back after flowering to maintain compactness.
Planting Instructions: Break up the soil well before planting and dig a hole twice the size of the pot. Remove plant from the pot by tapping the rim of the pot in āup side downā position. However, do not pull the plant from the pot. Firm soil after planting and water regularly for the first month.
