Agapanthus Double Diamond is a stunning compact, dwarf variety of Agapanthus. It has narrow strap-like mid-green foliage. Its short erect stems bear prolific blooms of double, pure white flowers. Furthermore its compact growing habit makes it perfect for use in the garden or in containers. This is a fairly hardy plant, occasionally being evergreen in areas with mild winters. Its particular season of interest would be throughout the summer and early autumn. It grows to a mature height of only 25cm and can spread up to 30 cm. It has been awarded The RHS Award of Garden Merit (AGM).
Suggested Care: Agapanthus Double Diamond should be planted in moist but well-drained soil, positioned in full sun however, it can withstand a partially shaded area but less blooms are likely to appear. Can be divided once established. The plant should be positioned in an area that is sheltered from strong winds. It is typically a low maintenance plant, free of pests and diseases.
Planting Instructions: Break up the soil well before planting and dig a hole twice the size of the pot. Remove plant from the pot by tapping the rim of the pot in ‘up side down’ position. Do not pull the plant from the pot. Firm soil after planting and water regularly for the first month.
