Herbaceous Perennials
Herbaceous plants (in botanical use frequently simply herbs) are plants that have no persistent woody stem above ground. The term is mainly applied to perennials, but in botany it may also refer to annuals or biennials, and include both forbs and graminoids.
Annual herbaceous plants die completely at the end of the growing season or when they have flowered and fruited, and they then grow again from seed.
Herbaceous perennial and biennial plants may have stems that die at the end of the growing season, but parts of the plant survive under or close to the ground from season to season.
Agastache Kudos Red
Agastache-Kudos-Red is a variety of Agastache, a perennial flowering plant that belongs to the mint family. Arctotis Red Devil
Arctotis-Red-Devil is a variety of the Arctotis genus, which is part of the Asteraceae family. This plant is also commonly referred to as African Daisy. Arctotis Red Devil is a perennial plant that is native to South Africa, specifically the Western Cape region. It has vibrant, blood-red flowers that bloom during the spring and summer months, attracting bees, butterflies, and other pollinators. The flowers have a black center, adding to their striking appearance.
Fuchsia ‘Riccartonii’
A vigorous growing Fuchsia, forms an upright medium sized bush of ovate dark green leaves. From early Summer the pretty looking flowers will begin to dangle from arching stems on the foliage. Vivid crimson wings surround deep purple tubular centres and will continue to bloom right throughout the Summer until the first frosts. Excellent garden plant highly attractive to pollinators. Height 200cm. Spread 150cm. Position in moist but well-drained soil in full sun or partial shade. Needs shelter from cold drying winds. Good in beds, back of large borders, cottage style or informal gardens.
Geum ‘Flames of Passion’
Forms a compact rounded clump of dark green leaves. From early Summer wiry dark stems rise above the foliage and are topped by wonderful semi-double deep red flowers, frilly in appearance. A repeat-bloomer rewarding you right through to the Autumn. Garden plant for flowerbed in moist well-drained soil in full sun or partial shade. Good in beds, borders, cottage style gardens. Looks particularly well when planted in groups. Height and spread (approx) - 50cm x 45cm.
Heliopsis ‘Funky Spinner’
This false sunflower will add a stunning display to any garden or patio. It's foliage and flowers make for an intense combination. Darkest green-bronze leaves provide a wonderful background for the striking bicolored, double red and yellow flowers. Big daisy-like flowers, outer petals golden yellow with red centres . Will bloom all Summer long. A good cut-flower and will attract bees and butterflies. Garden plant for flowerbed in well-drained soil in full sun. Will also tolerate light partial shade. Height and spread (approx) - 60cm x 40cm.
