Annual herb. Round or oval shaped leaves. Small white flowers in Summer. Height 50 cm. Leaves are used to flavor foods. Use only fully ripe seeds.
Roots are used in curries and the stems in soup.
Kitchen herb for containers, window boxes or herb garden in full sun. Leaves have a peppery taste. Used for flavoring chicken, fish and egg dishes. Medicinally used internally for indigestion and for worms in children.
