Description

Acorus gramineus ‘Ogon’ is a compact semi-evergreen or evergreen grass-like herbaceous perennial. Its narrow showy bright yellow & green striped foliage grows in wide fans of large, low-growing clumps. The foliage has a sweet citrus sent when bruised. Perfect for use in containers, beds/borders, pond margins or as a ground cover plant. When planted on the edge of banks, its roots can help to prevent erosion. It can reach a maximum height of 25 cm and spread of 20 cm.

Suggested Care: Acorus gramineus ‘Ogon’ should be planted in either full sun or partial shade. this plant thrives in medium to wet soils as it a water loving plant, it can even be planted in baskets in shallow water! A very low maintenance plant which is generally disease and pest free. While it is low maintenance- you should ensure it is not exposed to very dry soil conditions.

Planting Instructions:Ā Break up the soil well before planting and dig a hole twice the size of the pot. Remove plant from the pot by tapping the rim of the pot in ā€˜up side down’ position. Do not pull the plant from the pot. Firm soil after planting and water regularly for the first month.
