Agastache ‘Blackadder’ is one of the hardiest and most reliable of the giant hyssop. It has beautifully scented, bright green foliage. Creates a beautiful display, as its stems bear tall spikes of tiny dark purple-blue flowers, typically appearing during the summer and can last up until early autumn. Seed heads appear shortly after the flowering period. They are an eye-catching piece and the perfect plant to add to the garden. Undoubtedly, it is adored by bees and butterflies. They’re perfect for growing in gravel style gardens, and may also be grown in containers on a sunny patio. Can reach a maximum height of 90 cm and spread 60 cm.
Suggested Care: Agastache ‘Blackadder’ should be planted in full sun, in well-drained soil. It is easily grown in well-drained soils where good drainage holds a high importance. It is drought tolerant once established however, it might need watering where extreme dry weather spells occur. In colder regions, protect from frost in winter.
Planting Instructions: Break up the soil well before planting and dig a hole twice the size of the pot. Remove plant from the pot by tapping the rim of the pot in ‘up side down’ position. Do not pull the plant from the pot. Firm soil after planting and water regularly for the first month.
