Anemone Nemorosa is a stunning native woodland perennial with beautiful star shaped white flowers borne on short upright stems, above lovely green, deeply cut leaves. This plant flowers from February to April, and is one of the first spring blooms! It can reach a maximum height of 5 cm and spread of 15 cm. It can be used to add texture to informal beds or as underplanting for roses or shrubs. Additionally, this plant has an attractive creeping habit. Attractive to bees and butterflies.
Suggested Care: Anemone Nemorosa should be planted in moist but well-drained, humusy soils with plenty of leaf mould. It can be positioned in a shaded area where its foliage will flourish but its flowers may remain closed in gray/dull areas. When the sun shines the blossoms fully open and follow the sun’s course across the sky. It must be protected by excessive winter wet. Wind protection should be provided.
Planting Instructions: Break up the soil well before planting and dig a hole twice the size of the pot. Remove plant from the pot by tapping the rim of the pot in ‘up side down’ position. However, do not pull the plant from the pot. Firm soil after planting and water regularly for the first month.
