It is perfect for use in borders, as a cut flower or as a pollinator plant as it attracts bees and butterflies. ‘Sunningdale Variegated’ has been awarded the RHS Award of Garden Merit (AGM)
Suggested Care: Astrantia major ‘Sunningdale Variegated’ should be planted in moist but well-drained soil, positioned in full sun. It should be planted in a spot sheltered from harsh winds. This plant can also withstand partially shaded areas however, a sunny position gives the best foliage colour. If self-seeding is undesired, you should deadhead the flowers before the seed is ripe.
Planting Instructions: Break up the soil well before planting and dig a hole twice the size of the pot. Remove plant from the pot by tapping the rim of the pot in ‘up side down’ position. However, do not pull the plant from the pot. Firm soil after planting and water regularly for the first month.
