Astrantia are beautiful, clump-forming perennials with attractive glossy foliage. The produce stunning flowers which are surrounded by showy bracts which often provide a splash of colour. Astrantia is also known as 'Hattie's Pincushion' or 'Masterwort'.
This plant makes a good groundcover with its scented evergreen foliage, which turns to bronze and red in autumn. Purple pink flowers, fading to white with age. Height 35 cm. Spread 100 cm.
Variegated light green & cream foliage forms a low mound. Tall wirey stems topped by purple-red pincushion flowers throughout Summer and into Autumn. Attracts butterflies. Likes a well drained sunny spot. Height 45cm. Spread 50cm.
