Astilbe are gorgeous herbaceous perennials with attractive foliage and plumes. They are the perfect plant to add to shaded areas in any garden, which will provide colour from summer to late autumn/early winter!
Upright and strong stems bear daisy-like flowers. Reddish-orange flowerheads appear in late summer and early autumn, extending the flowering season. Height 90 cm. Spread 60 cm.
Snap-dragon like open-mouthed red flower, with white throat, borne in racemes from July till October. Sunny position and free draining soil. Height 75cm.
