Densely tufted, evergreen grass. Dainty, dark bronze-purple foliage. In mid-late summer brown flowerspikes. Most soils in sun or partial shade. Avoid extremes of wet or dry. Height 40 cm.
Non invasive bamboo. Upright habit, narrow canes that holds slender arrow shaped delicate green leaves. Grow to 4 metres. It can be grown in a container but water regular. Plant in moist well drained soil in partial shade.

Height up to 3 metres. This medium size bamboo has finer foliage that the species and usually forms a smaller, bushier plant. The delicate leaves hang from the slender red culms in thick green cascades making this an excellent plant for hedge o screen in a semi-shaded position.
