Herbaceous Perennials
Herbaceous plants (in botanical use frequently simply herbs) are plants that have no persistent woody stem above ground. The term is mainly applied to perennials, but in botany it may also refer to annuals or biennials, and include both forbs and graminoids.
Annual herbaceous plants die completely at the end of the growing season or when they have flowered and fruited, and they then grow again from seed.
Herbaceous perennial and biennial plants may have stems that die at the end of the growing season, but parts of the plant survive under or close to the ground from season to season.
Agastache Kudos Red
Agastache-Kudos-Red is a variety of Agastache, a perennial flowering plant that belongs to the mint family. This particular variety is known for its vibrant red flowers, which are highly attractive to pollinators like bees and butterflies. It has a compact growth habit, typically reaching a height of 45cm.
Geum ‘Flames of Passion’
Forms a compact rounded clump of dark green leaves. From early Summer wiry dark stems rise above the foliage and are topped by wonderful semi-double deep red flowers, frilly in appearance. Heliopsis ‘Funky Spinner’
This false sunflower will add a stunning display to any garden or patio. It's foliage and flowers make for an intense combination. Darkest green-bronze leaves provide a wonderful background for the striking bicolored, double red and yellow flowers. Big daisy-like flowers, outer petals golden yellow with red centres . Will bloom all Summer long. A good cut-flower and will attract bees and butterflies. Garden plant for flowerbed in well-drained soil in full sun. Will also tolerate light partial shade. Kniphofia ‘Flamenco’
This Red Hot Poker forms a large clump of strap-like green leaves. Short sturdy stems bear torch or poker like red-orange flower buds which open out to yellow, creating a wonderful two toned effect. An impressive feature plant for the garden. Garden plant for flowerbed in well-drained soil in full sun. Good in beds, borders, coastal or gravel gardens. Also good used for solitary planting.
