Herbaceous Perennials
Herbaceous plants (in botanical use frequently simply herbs) are plants that have no persistent woody stem above ground. The term is mainly applied to perennials, but in botany it may also refer to annuals or biennials, and include both forbs and graminoids.
Annual herbaceous plants die completely at the end of the growing season or when they have flowered and fruited, and they then grow again from seed.
Herbaceous perennial and biennial plants may have stems that die at the end of the growing season, but parts of the plant survive under or close to the ground from season to season.
Anemone hybr. Sept Charm
Anemone-hybr.-Sept-Charm is a hybrid variety of Anemone. Anemones belong to the family of Ranunculaceae. Anemone hybr. Sept Charm is a specific cultivar within this group. The flowers are typically a vibrant shade of pink, purple, or a combination of both. They have a delicate, airy appearance, with thin petals that resemble a daisy or poppy.
Fuchsia ‘Riccartonii’
A vigorous growing Fuchsia, forms an upright medium sized bush of ovate dark green leaves. From early Summer the pretty looking flowers will begin to dangle from arching stems on the foliage. Vivid crimson wings surround deep purple tubular centres and will continue to bloom right throughout the Summer until the first frosts. Excellent garden plant highly attractive to pollinators. Height 200cm. Spread 150cm. Position in moist but well-drained soil in full sun or partial shade. Needs shelter from cold drying winds. Good in beds, back of large borders, cottage style or informal gardens.
Hosta ‘Devon Green’
Hosta are grown for the wonderful foliage. Devon Green forms a dense medium sized mound of highly glossy, dark green, heart-shaped leaves with distinct midribs. Pale lavender flowers in late Summer. Garden plant for flowerbed in moist fertile soil in full or partial shade. Excellent choice for the shade garden, moist woodland garden, good for underplanting, and groundcover. Height and spread (approx) - 50cm x 50cm.
Hosta ‘First Frost’
Hosta are grown for the wonderful foliage. 'First Frost' a dense mound of broad, blue-green, heart-shaped leaves with variegated margins. When new leaves emerge in Spring they are edged with golden yellow which matures to bright white. Excellent ground-cover in shaded area! Pale lavender flowers in late Summer. Garden plant for flowerbed in moist fertile soil in full or partial shade. Excellent choice for the shade garden, moist woodland garden, good for under-planting, and ground-cover. Height and spread (approx) - 40cm x 90cm.
