Description

Achillea Huteri is a small slow growing mat/mound forming perennial – only 10-15 cm in height when fully grown. Its evergreen silvery-grey leaves, and short stems bear dense clusters of dainty white flowers throughout from the month of June right through to September. With its short height it is perfect as a ground-cover plant in a rockery or cottage garden. Can be used in beds and borders, containers, and in low maintenance gardens.

Suggested care: Achillea Huteri is suitable for well-drained soils positioned in full sun however, it will tolerate partial shade. Deadheading faded blooms should encourage more buds to form over a long season. As it is an easy to grow plant, it will tolerate a wide range of soil conditions, except for heavy, wet winter clay. In addition it can be divided each year to encourage growth.

Planting Instructions: Break up the soil well before planting and dig a hole twice the size of the pot. Remove plant from the pot by tapping the rim of the pot in ‘up side down’ position. Do not pull the plant from the pot. Firm soil after planting and water regularly for the first month. Although it is hardy, excessive watering must be avoided as this can cause damage to the plants roots
