Description

Agapanthus ‘Purple Cloud’ is a cultivar of Agapanthus, commonly known as African lilies or Lily of the Nile. It is a perennial flowering plant that belongs to the Amaryllidaceous family. ‘Purple Cloud’ is named for its striking clusters of purple flowers, which are borne on tall stalks above the foliage.

The plant features strap-like, green leaves that form a clump at the base. From early to early autumn, the flower stems emerge, reaching heights of around 90 cm. Each stem produces a cluster of tubular, bell-shaped flowers that are a vibrant shade of purple.

This cultivar is often used in perennial borders, mixed beds, or as a focal point in garden landscapes within containers on patios. Agapanthus ‘Purple Cloud’ can add a burst of colour and a touch of exotic flair to any garden setting.
