Achillea millefolium ‘Pomegranate’ is a stunning, compact, and bushy, herbaceous perennial. It has silvery-green ferny, divided leaves which are pleasantly aromatic. Unlike other achilleas, it produces clusters of long-lasting flowers, which bloom as a non-fading magenta/pomegranate red. The spectacular flower colour makes it very attractive to butterflies!
The varieties in this series are perfect for growing in containers. ‘Pomegranate’ is suitable for herbaceous beds and borders, as its vibrant shades will brighten up anywhere in need of a splash of colour. It is also very suitable for meadows, cottage gardens, and as a cut flower. It can reach a maximum mature height of 60 cm and spread of 60 cm. Licensed Plant Breeders Rights(PBR) reserved.
Suggested care: Achillea millefolium ‘Pomegranate’ is suitable for well-drained soils positioned in full sun and an open position. It is undoubtedly an easy plant to care for as it is drought, heat, and humidity tolerant! Deadheading faded blooms should encourage more buds to form over a long season.
Planting Instructions: Break up the soil well before planting and dig a hole twice the size of the pot. Remove plant from the pot by tapping the rim of the pot in ‘up side down’ position. Do not pull the plant from the pot. Firm soil after planting and water regularly for the first month.
