Alstroemeria Colorita® Tamara is a compact, clump-forming perennial that produces masses of vivid purple-pink blooms brushed with soft yellow centres and fine dark speckles on the inner petals. Flowering freely from May through to October, it brings months of vibrant colour and elegance to any garden setting.
The plant forms neat clumps of lance-shaped, mid-green foliage, reaching a height and spread of around 30 cm. Ideal for containers, patio pots, or sunny borders, Tamara adds a burst of long-lasting summer colour. Its striking blooms also make excellent cut flowers, perfect for brightening indoor arrangements. Easy to care for, reliable, and beautifully compact, this variety is a true garden gem.
Suggested Care: Alstroemeria Colorita® Tamara should be planted in moist, well-drained soils, positioned in a sunny position but can stand partial shade. Dormant tubers should be protected with a layer of mulch in cold weather conditions, when doing so, contact with the roots should be avoided. Once established these can be divided. When pruning, flower stems should be pulled rather than cut as this will cause damage to the plant.
Planting Instructions: Break up the soil well before planting and dig a hole twice the size of the pot. Remove plant from the pot by tapping the rim of the pot in ‘up side down’ position. Do not pull the plant from the pot. Firm soil after planting and water regularly for the first month.
