Alyssum saxatile Gold Ball is a beautiful evergreen perennial alpine which forms a low bushy mound of grey-green attractive foliage. In mid-spring it produces clusters of bright, tiny, golden yellow flowers. These flowers appear in April and can last right up until June/July. It can reach a maximum height of 20 cm and spread of 30 cm. It is the prefect plant for rock gardens, borders or to cascade down walls. It is an amazing pollinator plant as it will attract many bees and butterflies to your garden!
Suggested Care: Alyssum saxatile Gold Ball should be planted in well-drained, loamy soils and positioned in either full or partial shade. This wonderful plant can become drought tolerant once established. After flowering period, you should cut back the plant by half, to encourage the flourishment of the stunning evergreen leaves. This is an easy to care for plant, so it is perfect for any garden.
Planting Instructions: Break up the soil well before planting and dig a hole twice the size of the pot. Remove plant from the pot by tapping the rim of the pot in ‘up side down’ position. Do not pull the plant from the pot. Firm soil after planting and water regularly for the first month.
