Description

The deep green leaves, tinting red and darkening to deeper red in winter. Vivid pink flowers in Spring. Suitable for seaside planting. Height 25 cm. Spread 30 cm.

Bergenia ‘Abendglut’ is a clump-forming, evergreen perennial with stunning, large, leathery dark green leaves, with dark red undersides. In mid- to late spring, clusters of  bright pink flowers

Suggested Care: Bergenia ‘Abendglut’ should be grown in well-drained, fertile soil, in a sheltered position in full sun or partial shade. To prune, you should remove diseased, damaged, congested or crossing shoots in late winter or early spring. Pruning is not required for optimised growth but will make the plant look neat and compact. Perfect for growing in a container.

Planting Instructions: Break up the soil well before planting and dig a hole twice the size of the pot. Remove plant from the pot by tapping the rim of the pot in ‘up side down’ position. However, do not pull the plant from the pot. Firm soil after planting and water regularly for the first month.
