Dierama pulcherrimum ‘Album’, or “angel’s fishing rod,” is a perennial plant from South Africa, part of the Iridaceae family.
Key features include its elegant, arching foliage and striking white flowers that bloom from late spring to summer. It grows in clumps, reaching heights of 100cm with a spread of 60cm, and adds a vertical element to gardens.
The plant thrives in well-drained soil and prefers sunny to partially shaded locations, tolerating dry conditions once established but benefiting from adequate moisture during growth. Commonly used in ornamental gardens, its lovely white flowers contrast well with other colourful plants.
