Alstroemeria ‘Oriana’ is a beautiful clump forming, compact perennial with mid-green, lance-shaped leaves. Its stems bear dense clusters of gorgeous salmon-pink flowers, tipped with dark pink, with yellow throats flecked dark brown. The flowers appear in May and with their exceptionally long flowering period, can last right up until October. ‘Oriana’ can grow to a maximum height of 45 cm and spread of 30 cm. It is perfect to plant in containers pots or herbaceous borders due to its neat growing habit. A must for your garden! This plant has been awarded The RHS Award of Garden Merit (AGM)
Suggested Care: Alstroemeria ‘Oriana’ should be planted in moist, well-drained soils, positioned in a sunny position but can stand partial shade. Dormant tubers should be protected with a layer of mulch in cold weather conditions, when doing so, contact with the roots should be avoided. Once established these can be divided. When pruning, flower stems should be pulled rather than cut as this will cause damage to the plant.
Planting Instructions: Break up the soil well before planting and dig a hole twice the size of the pot. Remove plant from the pot by tapping the rim of the pot in ‘up side down’ position. Do not pull the plant from the pot. Firm soil after planting and water regularly for the first month.
