Mossy. Very compact rosettes of shiny bright green foliage. Lots of tiny pink-red flowers with yellow centers in April and May. Prefers a cool, moist position. Good in a rock garden. Height 10 cm. Evergreen.
The lavender-blue flowers are 5cm across and resemble a pincushion. They will be on show from June till when the first frosts occur. Attracts butterflies. Height 40cm. Spread 30 cm.
