Description

Argyranthemum Madeira ‘Red’ is a stunning shrub which is often grown as an annual due to its tender habit. It forms a compact mound of divided grey-green leaves from which, gorgeous deep red daisy-like flowers with yellow centres from late spring through to autumn or until the first frost. It can grow to a maximum 50 cm and can spread up to 50 cm. Argyranthemum are perfect for growing in containers, beds and borders. The perfect pollinator plant to add to your garden.

Suggested Care: Argyranthemum Madeira ‘Red’ should be grown in moist but well-drained, moderately fertile soils, positioned in a sunny area. You should deadhead Argyranthemums regularly to prolong the flowering period, also pinching the growing tips will ensure a compact growing habit. A winter mulch may protect their dormant roots from the frost. Watering during prolonged dry spells is essential as the plants will become dried out and droopy.

Planting Instructions: Break up the soil well before planting and dig a hole twice the size of the pot. Remove plant from the pot by tapping the rim of the pot in ā€˜up side down’ position. However, do not pull the plant from the pot. Firm soil after planting and water regularly for the first month.
