Description

Aster ‘Little Carlow’ is a stunning perennial aster which is often grown for its colour and height. It forms a clump of dark green, lance-shaped leaves. From summer into early autumn, erect stems of approximately 90 cm bear long-lasting, cheerful daisy-like lavender-blue flowers with golden yellow centres above the foliage. Its flower colour is perfect for creating a bold splash in the garden. It can grow to a maximum height of 90cm and spread of 45 cm. This plant is suitable for use in beds, borders, or even as cut flowers! Also, this plant is a great pollinator plant which attracts bees and butterflies. After the flowering period is over, you should cut back the plant to encourage new growth. Unquestionably, this plant has been awarded The RHS Award of Garden Merit (AGM)

Suggested Care: Aster ‘Little Carlow’Ā should be planted in well-drained, loamy soils, positioned in full sun. For best growing conditions, grow in moderately fertile soils in an open position. This variety is known to self seed once it is healthy and established.

Planting Instructions: Break up the soil well before planting and dig a hole twice the size of the pot. Remove plant from the pot by tapping the rim of the pot in ā€˜up side down’ position. However, do not pull the plant from the pot. Lastly, firm soil after planting and water regularly for the first month.
