Description

Asplenium trichomanes ‘Incisum’ is a small, semi-evergreen fern with dark green fronds which are made up of glossy dark brown stalks with small, pinnate leaflets. It is quite a short fern which can grow to approximately 15 cm in height and can spread up to 20cm. It is a great plant to use in banks/slopes, as a ground cover, or in beds and borders. Also, it is the perfect plant to place in the garden as to benefit from some year-round colour.

Suggested Care: Asplenium trichomanes ‘Incisum’ should be planted in moist but well-drained, loamy soils, positioned in partial to full shade. For best growing conditions, grow in moderately fertile soils. This plant can be divided in early spring. This plant is generally pest free but can be susceptible to damage caused by diseases such as rust in mild damp winters. Maintenance is not an issue as little care is required for this plant.

Planting Instructions: Break up the soil well before planting and dig a hole twice the size of the pot. Remove plant from the pot by tapping the rim of the pot in ‘up side down’ position. However, do not pull the plant from the pot. Firm soil after planting and water regularly for the first month.
